Brad Pillinger was a former Australian Rugby Union player. Tough as nails. And the son of Sydney real estate ‘Doyen’, Ron Pillinger. I followed him around, day and night, like a puppy dog, for a week, as he tried to settle the warehouse sale of my now-bankrupt Producer Malinda Rutter. Which he finally managed to do. We called the film The Agent. It was my second week of on-the-job training as a real estate agent and I started to fall in love with the highs and lows of the business. I'm a storyteller, by heart and training, and the fodder for content was rich. Meanwhile, Rutter to continued to pimp me out as a real estate Shooter. A rather inglorious 'fall from grace' from my days as a Hollywood Commercial Director. But I was broke.
